WRAP UP: Eurobike

Eurobike is the world's biggest bike show and gives many of the world's biggest manufacturers an opportunity to unveil what's coming for the following season (and us the opportunity to spend hours on the plane trip home thinking “how are we going to be able to afford that bike….”).

The event is held in Friedrichshafen, Germany yearly in August / September and sees tens of thousands of people through the doors.

There were lust-worthy bikes, bike accessories, bike carrier solutions, bikes just returned from riders at the Rio Olympics with mud still intact (not sure how that passed through customs….), brands that seem a bit unsure of their status - “probably the best” - and of course lyrca, lots of lycra.

We were chuffed with how our stand turned out and loved chatting to bike enthusiasts from all over the world.

For a touch of class, we loved these leather bike seats from Gilles Berhoud of France. Beautifully created and such impeccable attention to detail with features such as the year of manufacture stamped into the brass rivet.

There were also some unique displays like the cardboard bike frame on the Acros stand and a couple of penny farthings on the Kool Stop stand, just because.

We had a great time exhibiting at the show and look forward to heading back to Germany next year. Now, back to thinking about how we can afford that bike….
